Dead after short
 

I have a 2014 48V Club Car Precedent. I was installing a new dashboard and like a genius I shorted out two leads. One was definitely from the key switch. Now of course the cart is dead. No power anywhere. I traced back and only found one inline fuse in the blue wire and is was fine. I have looked everywhere for another fuse but have not been able to find one. I looked by the charger plug and inside the housing on the run switch. Can someone please help.:help: Thanks ahead of time.

The fuses are behind the controller mount panel at the rear of the battery box. One hex screw at top and you can tilt it forward etc. and look for the fuse which may have blown. Hope you didn’t fry the controller.

Measure from the key switch with the neg lead on B- and you should have 48v. If not the fuse is behind the panel with the run/tow sw on it. You have to remove the two middle batteries and swing the panel down. The fuse is near the solenoid.

I just put the cart on jack stands and go underneath it I need to mess with anything behind the controller cover. Way easier and quicker IMO than removing batteries. You also then have the ability to verify voltage at certain points and check to see if your work actually fixed the cart, without having to repeatedly remove the center batteries.
