Charger problem

Should have said grandaughter problem , she jumped on cart and took off with charger still attached . This pulled the 'molded on ' plug off the end of it's wire , can get a replacement plug locally ,no big deal , but one wire is - and the other is + which is which ????

What kinda charger is it and what color are the wires ? Lucky that's all that happened. Had the dogs run thru an experiment I was doing with the 48v charger and some jumper cables.....When everything came tight the sparks were flyin' random welding occured and finally the breaker popped. Whew! Glad your grand daughter is okay...

Re: Charger problem

It's a Lestronic ll charger and the wires are blk/wht . it's the first time I have really looked at the thing and it's a 10 amp charger rather smallish and has a bright metal case .

Re: Charger problem

You can go the Lestronic web site and download a manual for it which will include a wiring diagram.
Click the link below.
When the web page opens click on the document search in the little menu in the upper left. When the search form appears type in your model # ( 17120 or 39390 ).
You should be good to go !

p.s. On my lester the manual says they use black for negative and red or white for positive. BUT, it is better to check for your specific model. Good luck.
You can devise a reminder for everyone. Or hang a sign on the steering wheel to let the children know when it is plugged in.....

Re: Charger problem

Loop the charger cord through the steering wheel, that way they will remember
