Battery Disconnect
I'm working on a fleet right now - I would like to have the option to have a master switch as well.
Is there any reason that I can't hook this in between the main positive terminal on the battery pack and the controller wire? http://www.discountmarinesupplies.com/32862961.jpg |
Re: Battery Disconnect
I do not see a reason you cannot do that. It's just a contact. Question, do they make a double pole batt. disconnect? Would be nice to break both the positive and neg. going to controller.

Re: Battery Disconnect
That will work fine. Installing it at the end of the pack is where you should put it. I would however buy the one that will carry the most amps without it getting too big.

Re: Battery Disconnect
I think the one above is something like 1000 amps....

How will/does it mount? |
Re: Battery Disconnect
I have one installed in the tractor. It was more of an anti-theif device. But it turned out to be a battery saver when I had a small short I couldn't find for awhile...It is on the positive side....
