1996 CC DS won't move!! solenoid or controller?

I have a 1996 club car that has worked for years with no problem. Recently the forward and reverse switch was acting up. Sometimes the cart would not move until I toggled the switch back and forth several times. I suspected a bad f&r switch so I replaced it. Since I replaced it I get nothing. The battery pack is fully charged. There are no clicks or sounds coming from the solenoid whatsoever. I jumped the small post on the solenoid to battery positive and it will click then. I've checked the connections to the f&r switch several times thinking I may have hooked something up wrong. Is it possible that my controller went bad? Should the solenoid still click with a bad controller? I'm not too savey on electric stuff, trying different tests I read about on this forum. I guess my main question is, should I jump straight to the controller? Thanks everyone!

36v or 48v ?
buzzer in reverse ?
does cart move when solenoid is jumped ?
do you have the micro switches wired correctly ?

JACK UP CART AND PLACE ON JACK STANDS FOR ANY TESTING
yes solenoid should click with a bad controller
do not jump to controller

A 96 CC has a rotary F&R with a lever not a rocker switch - Post pics of what you have.

The reverse buzzer does sound. Its a 48v cart, OBC removed years ago and use DPI charger.

So I ran though a lot of test on these forums. Here is all that I've come up with. Jumping the two large post on my solenoid does nothing. I tested the motor itself and it runs. No clicking on solenoid whatsoever. There is continuity in all the Microswiches. The only thing I can find is there is no power to the positive small terminal on the solenoid. There is an negative connection on the small negative post. I get voltage reading there when I volt meter it to battery pack +. There is a red wire that goes to a controller terminal and a black and white wire that goes to the first micro switch closest to body. That wire has continuity. Could a bad controller cause this problem or something else. I believe I have a mcor box as well.

if you have a mcor , pull the 2 pin connector and use a "U" shaped paper clip
and jump the plug

remember cart on jack stands

Well I guess it's not an mcor. Sorry. This black box is on the drivers side connected directly to the pedal arm on one side. Sorry the wires go directly into the box and I don't see a plug. I appreciate it!

that is a v glide

I think you are on the right track. See if there is (+) power going in and out of the micro-switch (ms) on the F&R closest to the front of the cart. if yes open the Vglide and test the ms in there.... this should power up the controller and click the solenoid when you try to go..... I think the controller is not being powered up along with the solenoid not clicking problem.... could be the same ms problem. Keep us posted.
