G2 Transaxle open, now is the time. Remove Governor or not?

G2 Transaxle open, now is the time. Remove Governor or not?

Looking for opinions.

Thanks!

G2's have a rev limiter in the ignitor. They will only rev to a point. Removing the governor will give you strange results at higher rpm range. Hope you bought a new case gasket.

Strange results.. interesting strange good or strange bad..?

Yes, new gasket came today. cant figure out how where to insert the governor fork in the stack of washers coming out of the hook/bowl thing.

Mine seems just slightly different.

Wondering since the G2 has a rev limiter if the governor is needed?
