whats the difference between a key start and pedal start fe350ccw?
My latest project is a 96 transporter 6 pass w/ dump bed, the engine needs rebuilt badly. what's the difference between a key start and pedal start engine?:?

other than one starts by turning the key like you would with your car and the other starts by pushing down on the pedal for the same effect ...........nothing..........................8)

WHOOOPS!!! :oops:
The key start engines have an ACR (Automatic Compression Relief valve), The pedal start cart engine's don't! besides that... the key switch... and some of the wiring... yep, they're the same! :wink: Disclaimer: I'm basing this on my 2007 FE350cw manual... I can't guarantee it's the same as your 96 ccw! |

but they wont sell a pedal start rebuilt or new engine that's not a key start for a replacement! there has to b a difference!
