Windshield cleanup

Being an old car guy, I have a lot of buffing and polishing compound around. My Club Car windshield had some fine scratches and sort of a haze from being at the coast. I used some 3M #051131 Swirl Mark Remover. It is made for final finishing on newly painted automobiles, but it works great on those plastic windshields. It can be applied by hand or machine, just make sure you use soft clean microfiber cloths or the correct finishing pad. Just like any polishing product, you must apply it to a cool surface inside or in the shade. I think you will be satisfied with the results. Just FYI:thumbup:

I've done similar, had a scratch across the windshield top to bottom, hand polished it out. Lots of work but paid off!

I can't remember the name but someone makes a product for cleaning plastic windshields. Mostly on planes. I got a can of that based on a recomendation here and that stuff works great. Looks like new.

One thing said in the instructions is do not use paper towels when applying.

I think it was Plexus Aerosol Plastic Cleaner.

I've used regular auto wax to clear up the windshield on my bayboat.
