Hello Doomsman,
On racingkarts it isn't a common engine. There are some specialists in Germany, but onley a few To heavy for one side of the cart and to big, so you cannot get a descent behaviour of the chassis. And you know, heavier mean's hidding the brakes before the others do..... People who use these engines are mostley "big " people like i am with my 120 k. A modern 4 stroke 250 cc engine with 34 HP and 15 kg incl. all is quicker as a V2 with 45 HP and 40-45 kg.! The inner parts of these V2 engines are much to heavy for racing. But what am i telling you..... US engines have to be big.... No substitute for cubic inches... Benno |
