1986 Columbia par car only runs on choke

I just got this cart from my buddy. He said he was driving it one day and it just quit, then it ran for a little while and then he couldn’t get it started again. I cleaned out gas tank, new fuel lines, cleaned the fuel pump, cleaned the carb 3 times. The only way it will run is if I pump the choke in and out the whole time, it gets going fast but as soon as I let go of the choke it dies instantly. It acts like it’s starving for fuel, but it’s getting plenty the bowl is full. The head gasket is good and the gasket on the back of the carb is good also. I did do a quick compression check tonight and it only showed that I had 80 psi....I would think that would be enough to run, and it will run but only with the choke on....I did take the exhaust off tonight to make sure it was not plugged and it is just fine, I can’t really think of what else might be wrong with it besides it’s blown up or it needs a new carb. If anyone has some suggestions on what I need to do please let me know! Thank you

What you are describing sounds like failing crank seals. It's clear that your cart is getting plenty of gas from the tank to the carb. It's also pretty clear that it's not getting from the carb to the cylinder. Check this out:

I had my carb soaking overnight I’m gonna clean it one more time and make sure all the lines are connected tight. If that doesent work I think I might try to take off that crankshaft seal to see if it is bad.......is the crankshaft seal easy to get off?
