1994 Medalist

I said I would never buy a 4 wheel cart (I'm an old school 3 wheeler guy), but here she is. My new 1994 Medalist 36 volt all factory except for back seat. This thing is already in excellent condition. Someone babied this thing it's whole life it looks like. I plan on upgrading to 48 volts, sand/spray battery tray for rust prevention as there is some rust, and paint the whole cart. Keeping it stock height. I put a tinted windshield on it today and putting mirrors on this weekend a long with tail lights. I will post here with updates on it. I'm excited about this one!

Very nice find!
I converted my 94 Medalist to 48v and never looked back.
Lots of help on this site, if you have any questions or concerns.
Keep us posted of your progress.

This link is handy to keep as well.

I converted my 94 medalist to 48 volt and switched the body to the plastic TXT body. See my avatar. You will be pleased with the speed and torque.

Well here are the updates as promised. Still 36v for now. When these batteries go bad I'll go 48. Updates I have done are: 400a solenoid, HD f r, 2 g cable set, (stock controller for now until I go 48 v). tinted windshield, no lift but I added HD springs front and rear which raised it up enough to clear the 20" tires on stock wheels, new brakes, new seat covers. All that's left is paint! Paint will be seafoam green metallic got a quote from a guy at a body shop that will do it for $300. My parents love their "new" neighborhood cruiser with all the upgrades

By the way even with the stock controller..the 400a solenoid, HD f r, and 2 gauge cables with new batts REALLY woke this cart up! Thanks Scottyb!! So much off the line torque and it's quite a bit faster. Can't wait to see what the new controller and 48v will do. But my parents say it's beefy enough for them already. We're super pleased with it's performance.

That looks Great:thumbup:

I have a 95 Medalist that needs some love.

Glad to here that 20" tires will fit.

So what HD springs did you go with?
And how did you attach your taillights?

Thanks! I went with RHOX hd springs front and rear. They sent me an extra set of the front ones by mistake that I will sell you for almost half price ($50+shipping). They were hard to find online.. Was only able to find them on 1 website. But yes just the springs alone raised it up enough to clear the 20's perfectly with no rubbing.

For the taillights I just bought some LED trailer lights from autozone, drilled the holes and screwed them in, and ran the wires underneath to the front and spliced them in with the headlight wiring right behind the light switch. Works great.

Good Idea on the tail lights.
For my tail-lights I rolled a piece of sheet-metal and attached it below the bottom trim.

I am very interested in the springs.
Can I PM you my zip code for a (To the door price?)
