Battery Question
Have noticed that after a charge cart runs fine up an incline, but after a couple of miles it will stall on a hill, have to get a running start to get up. I checked voltage on all batteries an hour after fully charged.

Have you been exceptionally hard on these batteries? Run them down completely many times? |
Re: Battery Question
The charger is putting out 41.7 volts.
The charger is reading 10 amps before it shuts off. Dont know about battery abuse as I just recently acquired this cart. |
Re: Battery Question
The voltage is a bit low at 41.7 and the amps are a bit high for end of cycle.
For comparison, I'm getting 45.8v at end of cycle at ~2A on a cart with a Total Charge charger (<--old). Can you try another charger on the set and see if you can get a full charge on the set? It's not impossible to destroy a pack in less than a year but it seems unlikely. If the pack was completely drained every use you wouldn't get more than a 100 or so cycles out of the pack. You can also try charging batteries individually or in pairs with a 6v or 12v charger and see how pack behaves. |
Re: Battery Question
Have you looked inside the batts for proper water levels?
|
Re: Battery Question
Yes water levels are good.
To charge individually do I need to disconnect batteries from pack? |
Re: Battery Question
No. You can charge individually or in pairs while connected.
