Golf cart storage. No AC power
Just as the title says. This winter I’ll be storing my Golf Cart on a shed with no AC power, and no way to get any AC power. How should I maintain the batteries? I was thinking of grouping 3 in series and hooking them up to a 24v trickle charger.
They are 6,8v batteries. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How about solar panels? You could series 4 of the cheap 12 volt ones....48volts.

I like the Solar Panel idea..... |
Re: Golf cart storage. No AC power
How about storing it in the shed instead of on it?
Would you have power then? |

How cold will it be in your shed for the winter? Batts here don't discharge in the winter.

Re: Golf cart storage. No AC power
If there is no power, disconnect all battery cables. Be sure to give it a full charge prior to disconnecting batteries.
Charged batteries generally won't freeze, but discharged ones will. If you can, place them on a regulated solar panel to keep them charged, but if there is not a charge controller built in it would be worse than leaving them disconnected. If the panel does not receive enough sun light the panel can discharge the battery, that is the reason for a controller. If it was me, I would give them a full charge and then pull the cables. |

If you don't have AC in Storage, how will you use a trickle charger?????

Is there no way you can truck it to a location where there is power? |
