Tranmission Oil for 1995 G14AM

Hi All, I have a 1995 G14A with the JN3-118823 Dana Spicer transmission / diff that I am totally rebuilding to new, I have totally stripped the transmission and replaced all the bearings and seals, now I am ready to add new oil, the label on the diff cover says fill with SAE 90WT which I am unable to obtain in South Africa, I asked around a bit for an equivalent and it was recommended that I use 80W90 GL5 oil, the transmission after 21 years is in excellent condition and I would like to keep it that way and not make a mistake by filling with incorrect oil, please could I have some advice for those who know. Thanks Mark

I run the lightest weight (gear) oil I can, 75/90!! Synthetic.

That 80w90 GL5 is also perfectly suitable if you already have it. It meets and exceeds the original requirements.
