bad, bad, buggy
Ive got a sick 2006 Club Car Precident. I've had 2 different folks work on it, and the problem still exists. Its a 48 volt, with an 11 hp Beast, and a 500 amp altrex controller. What it does is barely roll, or stops, then all of a sudden takes off like a wild dog. I've had solenoids changed, at least 3 MCOR's, motor, and the last guy tried a new wiring harness to no avail.
I basically had him remove the newly installed Trojans, and hauled it home, thinking i could just part it out and take my losses. I don't really see anyone in my area (Baton Rouge) that has high enough reviews that I would really trust, so Im making one last effort to see if I can find anyone in my area that would like a real challenge. I'm thinking itll need all new wiring, including harness, and a new set of batteries and cables. I would really like to fix it because it has all the extras on it that I'd like to have, such as larger tires, front and rear racks, and lift kit. If i can't find anybody, i'll just start taking it apart and sell the pieces... I'd also be willing to travel to nearby states if needed. |
Re: bad, bad, buggy
Is the controller a DCX or an XCT?

Re: bad, bad, buggy
cart is at my farm 100 miles away. I'll be back up there Friday, and can check.

Re: bad, bad, buggy
You’ve got an issue with the Map for the controller. You need to hook up the alltrax to a lap top and explore the map and performance when you are running the cart. Something is jacked with your settings I bet. 5K-0 or 0 to 5K throttle setting perhaps being mixed up.

Re: bad, bad, buggy
HTblue is probably on the right track. But what is the story on the 3 mcors?

Re: bad, bad, buggy
Exactly. Something with the controller for sure. Time to hook it up to a laptop.

Re: bad, bad, buggy
This is over the last few years. Both guys that worked on it said it was bad, so I replaced it twice.....

Re: bad, bad, buggy
I don't have a lap top. Should most, if not all, repair shops be equipped?

Re: bad, bad, buggy
Maybe and maybe not. Alltrax controllers are meant for DIY people like us so they’re easily programmable. First find out which Alltrax it is.
