Life of a fuel filter
How often do you guys replace your fuel filters, if at all?
Do they become less efficient and restrictive as they get older? Only reason I ask is because when I fist got the cart, the tank was full of gelled gas/oil. Even after numerous cleaning cycles, the filter got clogged easily and a noticeable performance decrease was noticed. I have since changed it, but does it make that big of a difference? Thanks |
its part of the tune-up...

Once or twice a year. They do wear out and get old. Considering the price of them, you're better off because a faulty one can cause a lot of damage.

I just changed it yesterday and all I have to say is YUCK! Once out in the light, I could clearly see black crap plastered all inside the filter element. It was time LOL
