What's the best way to clean alum.
The underbelly of my cart needs some shine. It seems very labor intensive to rub it off with a polishing compound. Are there any easier ways to get back some shine and remove stubborn blemishes. Also, any tips for cleaning daimond plate without using my fingers and a rag b/t every little space. Maybe someking of buffing head that can reach all the low spots.
Thanks in advance. BS |
Re: What's the best way to clean alum.
It's +/-$7 a bottle, but well worth every penny.
http://eagleone.com/images/products/...ag_Cleaner.jpg I would recommend cleaning all the loose dirt with a high-pressure nozzle first. Then apply a light coat of the EagleOne cleaner. Let it set for about 10 minutes. Then apply another and let them both set for another 10 minutes. Rinse with water. Then do another thin coat and let sit for 10 more minutes. Just keep doing that until you're happy. One big coat will not work. Use it on everything underneath your cart, differential housing, axle housing.... everything. Just keep it off your paint the best you can. |

Thanks NO NO, I'll give it a try. I've tried other products with so-so results.

Re: What's the best way to clean alum.
You could use it on an E-Z-GO frame too. It would make the paint look new. It would probably eat the paint off the body of a cart, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it on a frame. You can see on that engine that it didn't take the paint off the heat shields or axle housing.
Redneck cart.....wtf is wrong with some people???   :-D |
