2013 Precedent surges/jerks
Have a 2013 Precedent that jerks or surges when you start driving it. Feels like you are pushing the throttle down then letting up. Does this for a 100 feet or so then usually smooths out. Replaced the MCOR and it still does it. The other thing I have noticed is that randomly while driving the battery light in the dash will come on. Batteries are about a year old and in good shape.
Other than replace MCOR I have also reset the OBC by disconnecting the negative and positive battery cables for about an hour and reconnecting. |
Re: 2013 Precedent surges/jerks
What is the pack voltage just before you start out on the cart? What is it when the cart is surging?? (Hook a DVM up to the pack and lay it on the seat.)
Where did you get your MCOR? |
Re: 2013 Precedent surges/jerks
Are all of the battery cables tight? Buddy of mine had same problem and a week later he melted down a battery post

Re: 2013 Precedent surges/jerks
^ like he said. Check all of the battery cables for clean and tight connections.
Sounds like a power delivery problem. If not that it could be worn or stuck brushes in the motor. |
Re: 2013 Precedent surges/jerks
Will check the voltages
Got the MCOR from amazon - made in China Will check all the battery connections Stuck brushes seems logical since it goes away after a 100 feet or so. Only happens when the cart has been sitting like overnight or longer. Are brushes easily replaced? |
