will a speed magnet work on a 2001 DS
 
I have a 2001 club car DS, I'm new to this and trying to figure out if i could use the speed magnets. I'm a littler confused about the regen and IQ. any help would be appreciated.

I believe you must have an IQ (2002-up) cart for a magnet to work. Regen is a type of braking system. Regenerative braking
Your 2001 is more than likely a series cart, meaning you will have to do motor and controller upgrades for more speed...
