I need some help,I have only worked on Exgo carts. Installing a XCT 48400 controller in a 2010 Precedent cart. I must have the controller mounted wrong because multi-plug wire will not reach the controller plug??http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...1&d=1490495710

Looks like you need to rotate it 180 degrees

This is how I did mine. I had to re route the main multi plug cable, and pull the extra slack out of it.

Please note that You should not use a pre-charge resistor with the XCT controller.

I installed it because it came with the solenoid. But according to Scotty:

"There is no harm in having the diode on the solenoid even if the controller has an internal diode. This would just be redundant protection."

If there is a problem I will remove it.

I agree on the diode, but I was referring to the pre-charge resistor you installed on the Solenoid big posts, it should not be there.

Ok, I'm not arguing with you Sergio I just want to learn. Could you point me to where it says this anywhere? Maybe I missed it? Also I was reading the alltrax technical notes it shows them being used. That's why I installed it.

Those are just generic notes written 7 years before the XCT was introduced, and do apply to most controllers.

Look at the install diagram for Club Car IQ/Excel:
