99 Club Car Stopped Working

I have a 99 48 volt Club Car. Last weekend I got it out and it made a "Bump" noise and moved all of 1 inch. When you press the petal, you can hear the electric "click", and about every few tries, it makes an attempt at moving. Anyway, I checked the wiring and it finally went on for the rest of the afternoon w/out a hitch.

Today, it did the same thing, but never left the shed. I have checked the wiring and all seems OK. I could not get to the solinoid (b/c i have a bed ion the back) but i could feel that it was warming up.

Any thoughts? I appreciate the help.

When you find out what is wrong PLEASE let me know, mine is acting the same way: solenoid clicks but nothing happens. I do not know what year model mine is but it has the electronic controller.

Re: 99 Club Car Stopped Working

I appreciate the info.... I have had to go out of town with work and have not had a chance to break it apart.

If anyone knows of a possible other solution or "fix" please let me know.

I have replaced this once before, but I had to take the roof and bed off and i guess I am mentally procrastonating.

Thanks for the info. I will make a post if I get it going.

Thanks again and have a safe week.

A bad connection will give you the volts needed to activate the solenoid but not the amps needed to run the cart.
Have you pulled and cleaned all of your connections and checked for corrosion?
