Simple voltage check ... test before you start it, record voltage. Then in maintenance mode or neutral start the cart and rev it a bit, now retest with engine running at operational speed. If it is higher voltage when running then everything is okay..... Your battery or cables are faulty 8)

The charger might need to be rebuilt when I had a electric club car that happened to me with the charger.

First, it would help if you posted your question in the correct forum. You have a GAS Club Car cart, and you are posting in the Electric Club Car section.

And do as scottyb suggested, it is the best way to test the charging system for your gasser. If the voltage doesn't increase while at operational speeds versus idle, you have a problem. If the voltage increases TOO MUCH (anything over about 14.4-14.7v is a bit high for a 12v charging system) then you also have a problem.

Your not the original poster. He wasn't talking to you. You must be confused. The OP posted in the wrong forum. He should direct his questions to the correct one so he can get the right help.

Exactly. I find that if you have a question about a gas cart, it's best to ask in the gas cart forum, where those guys hang out. The electric cart guys often have little or no interest in gas, and gas cart guys have little interest in electric, so things get overlooked when they're in the wrong place.
