Personality chip in my 08' 48v 6 seat ezgo shuttle?

I purchased one of the $6 "personality chips" or speed chip off of Amazon. My cart is avg 12-14MPH so I was hoping for a little more speed. I watched the installation instructions on youtube and it looked pretty easy. However when I lift my middle seat up, the Tow/Run switch is on a simple thin panel and does not appear to be integrated into the motor or controller like the videos on youtube. My cart has the Fwd/Rev on the dash. Is the component I am looking for under the dash (rather then below the seat) of my cart? If so, is taking the dash apart going to be a worthy endeavor for this "modification" or should I just pass?

It's not for you, the stretch carts didn't use that controller with the pins for the personality plug. Someone with some tuning experience, and a level 4 or higher programmer might be able to get some decent speed gains. Your cart actually has a much nicer controller than that little baby one with the personality plug.

Bigger tires in crease the gear ratio which reduces power by an equal %. Are you sure you have 10 or 20 % power to sacrifice for more top speed. If no, you will be disappointed.

Thank you Scottyb. I am not aware of how much power I could sacrifice. But... I think I just found out I need to replace my batteries. I just purchased this thing used and the Trojan batteries are only 3 years old. I was hoping they had some battery life left and could spend $ on upgrades..... However yesterday I took it around the block a couple of times and the meter quickly went down 3 or 4 notches. I left it on the charger overnight and the charger appeared to cycle through to completion and indicated "complete"... however when I turned the key the dash indicator does not appear to have risen at all..... I just plugged it back into the charger and it is flashing an error for "Battery Low Voltage".... I am wishing I would have just invested more in a new gas cart :\
