Resistor to controller

I started my conversion today. I have most of it done but i need some connectors to finish up. I am at deer camp so there are no stores close by to purchase today. When pulling old resistors out one of them was broken. I also foung a bad cable to one of the batteries. My speed board was shot.
I took some pics and downloaded them to my laptop. How do I pull up to post? I searched website and found no info. Can someone point me in the right direction?

One other question. Can I do away with the micro switchs that were originally on cart when I complete my conversion. Or which ones can be eliminated and which ones need to be wired in?

Re: Resistor to controller

You need at least 1 microswitch to engage the solenoid.

The pics you can either use a picture host like www.imageshack.us, upload your pictures there and they will give you a url you can post

OR if you want you can upload them to BGW as an attachment. You will have to resize the picture to a resonable size.

The one inside the v-glide.

5 Attachment(s)
Well I thought I had my cart finished but its still sitting still. I finally got frustrated with it and put it away. I'll try again at Christmas time.
Pics show new potbox, relay, controller, and old parts I took off. Speed board looks shot to me.
Also when I looked at the wiring diagrams (stickys under elec ezgo) they did not show the solenoid in the circuit or am I looking at it wrong.

Re: Resistor to controller

Doh! Too many carts to keep track of...no v-glide. The micro switch will have to activate off the throttle rod somehow. Your stock one mounted on the side of the speed board and when you pushed the pedal it activated the solenoid.

The solenoid wiring is part of the control wiring and its not shown on those diagrams. I'll do some digging and see if I can find a diagram for you.

Thats gonna be a badass setup once you get it all working properly. Take your time and don't get frustrated. Who made the controller?

Re: Resistor to controller

I purchased controller from the cartzone. It came with no identifying names on it, but was told it is made by some company that deals in electric cars and bikes.
If you could post up a complete wiring diagram I sure would appreciate it. My wiring most closely resembles the one of 70's resistor carts.

Re: Resistor to controller

Roady, at evparts.com they have a power wiring diagram that shows solenoid. (diagram shown at golf cart controller conversion kits). It shows 3 micro switches. Which ones are necessary, and what do they actually do.
