Lift kit Identification
 

I’ve had this cart for about 6 months and recently replaced the rear springs with dual action leafs. I noticed the rear lift seemed odd. It’s not really a block, but rather 4 spacers/sleeves that each bolt goes through which lifts the rear of the cart. This seems like not the best way to lift the rear for stability purposes (or is it ok?). Can’t find any pictures of this online. The front is a spindle lift which looks like Allsports spindles? If this is in fact an older all sports lift of some sort, could I replace the weird rear lift with some blocks and U bolts? And finally, how to measure to determine exactly what size lift this is? The rear spacers things are about 4” long. I have 22x10x10 tires and clear them with not problems. Thanks!

I can't give an answer as to the brand of spindles you have on there. I'd be willing to bet that the rear lift is a home made lift and not from a company. However, I've only been in to GCs for a couple years now, so maybe some folks that have been around longer will know better. I agree with you, that the way that is set up is not optimal.

I'm thinking it's homemade in the back but can you just buy the drop spindles by themselves?(asking everyone), I'm not sure.
I've removed something similar but they had used 1/2" square tubing, very sketchy in my opinion.
Up front, 1 1/2" square tubing between the frame and spring and then square tubing between spring and axle, didn't even fit properly.
You work on them long enough you see some horrible stuff!!!

Anyone remember the kid that wanted to make his lift out of wood?

The original spindle would have been where your zerk fitting is, I'd speculate. Measure the centerline of the spindle to the zerk...looks like 3-4". That front does not look home made, so I doubt the rear is as well. I don't see any reasons why it would be unstable.

Wow that rear "lift" does look sketchy af. I would for sure remove that and install a lift block.

Check autozone or your local equivalent. They all used to carry blocks
