Installing new timing belt
I have an 02 TXT, and want to replace the timing belt. can I pull the drive clutch without pulling the motor?

Re: Installing new timing belt
The shaft is about 2" long. I think if you can get the puller in there and get an air hammer on it then you can do it

Re: Installing new timing belt
Thanks for the info, need to buy a puller now!

Re: Installing new timing belt
If it is lifted then you may be able to cut the rear spring and shock on the driver side loose and jack the body up enough to get at the bolt with an impact.

Re: Installing new timing belt
I pulled my ezgo clutch with a 2 inch fine thread 3/4 bolt and about a 5 inch 5/8rod. Put the rod in the clutch hole , screwed in the bolt and popped the clutch off. This cost me 4.50 at the local hardware store, so if in a bind and don't have access to the 30 plus dollar puller , hit the hardware store
Butch This is a quote from "EZ GO Gas Tech"... on the home page. Verify the model before you go spend your money. There's more info there...."Removing an EZ GO clutch" Hope that helps!:mrgreen: |
