V-Glide Bypass
1991 Club Car DS
Serial Number - A9139263239 Motor Number - 1012191 Model Number - 5BC48JB764 Tires - 18X8.5-8 Charger Lestronic II Model - 07710 Serial - 36LC25-8ET I bought the above golf cart last week. I would only need it occasionally to make a trip to the store (~2.5 miles total). I got a deal on some 12V deep cycle batteries and plan to put three in series. I know some will say that is no good, but, I got a great deal on them so I will see how it goes. The one upgrade I would like to try is the V-Glide Bypass. It looks like a relatively inexpensive and simple upgrade. When I do use the cart it will more than likely be at WOT for most of the trip. Does this make sense? Are there other upgrades anyone would recommend? Thank you.... |
Re: V-Glide Bypass
Why would you want to bypass the v-glide? What are you trying to gain or accomplish?
Does your cart have a big toaster coil under the seat, or does it have a controller? |
Re: V-Glide Bypass
In another thread (https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=96608).
"The way I understand it, the bypass would be a separate (heavy duty?) solenoid that is actuated by the last contact on the v-glide. This contact essentially becomes just a 36 volt switch. The full speed voltage would come from the solenoid instead of the v-glide." It has the toaster coil. |
