48V burning out MCORs
Hey guys I have a 2001 48V DS that keeps going through MCORs. The cart gets about 2 hours of use and starts the chugging sensation when not at full acceleration. After the cart sits it still continues next use. I have replaced the MCOR twice and it only temporarily fixed it. Could anyone tell me what keeps causing this?

I don't know for sure, but if you're using the cheap MCOR modules from Amazon or EBAY, that's probably it. Dave @ Revolution Golf Cars is our resident Club Car guru and he also sells the true OEM MCOR modules. Other than that, one of the experts will be along soon to help you out.

I am with swm63.....
And you can check the current loop like this. With the batteries connected, key switch Off, Tow/Run switch in Run; place the black (–) probe on packs main Negative post and the red (+) probe on the yellow wire at the 3-pin connector near the MCOR. (The reading should be approximately ~0.32vdc to ~0.5vdc with the pedal up). Slowly press the Go Pedal and the readings should increase until it reaches ~4.65vdc or more when the pedal is fully pressed. (Anything less than 4.60vdc and you are not reaching full throttle). If you get some crazy high number there in the loop circuit it when the pedal is all the way down (it will not run any faster), but ~may could damage it over time. I am more suspect of is this a cheap aftermarket that is poorly built. |

Do your MCORs say CHINA or MEXICO?

Had the same issue with Chinese MCOR's from Amazon. Went with Mexico from EBAY and have way better results. THe last three that came from Amazon, 2 didn't work at ALL and one lasted 5 months.
