Lift and Lights

Hi,

This is my first post and have a few questions that I couldn't find in the message boards. I recently purchased a 2007 Club Car Precedent Electric Cart. Looking to start with two projects but want to just get some feedback.

I would like to start with lights and I found a light kit that there is a Halogen kit and an LED kit. Do any of you have recommendations on which you would go with? I saw a thread on the light output and the Halogen does seem a little better projecting the light but I am thinking does it make more sense to have a light kit that is LED rather than Halogen because it is less drain on the batteries especially having an Electric cart?

Secondly, I would like to put a lift on the cart but i have a very low garage opening. Does anyone know what the height of their cart it with a 6 inch lift and 22 inch tires it with 12 inch wheels? Is it possible to put on a 3-4 inch lift with 12 inch wheels and 22 inch tires, meaning will the tires rub or will i have enough clearance.

Thanks in advance

Light kit, I would go with LED for the reason you said.

:sign3: to BGW

LEDs are indeed more efficient than halogens. I have halogens on my cart and have been happy with them; don't have any experience with LEDs.

As for the lift, I can answer that as soon as I get my lift installed. I have the same concern as you, my garage isn't that tall, and I'm going with a 6" lift with 22" tires.

I have a 2007 DS with a 6" lift and 12" rims with offroad tires. I fit in my garage without issue. My neighbor has a precedent with the same lift and same size rims and tires, and he fits in his garage without an issue either. If your garage is normal garage door opening sized, you should be fine, I think.

Thanks Guys,

Jake when do you think the lift will be installed?

Gijosh, my garage isn't "normal height" that's the problem. How tall is your cart?

Thanks

After a lot of reading and research, I added an LED light kit and love it. Depending on the vendor, the kit can be purchased with or without tail lights. If I'm not mistaken, your 2007 should be pre-wired with a bucket harness that will allow you to easily add tail lights, if you should wish. Hope this helps...

I had a 2010 Precedent with a 6'' lift and 23'' tires and had no problem fitting it in my garage. My neighbor had a 2011 Precedent with a 4'' lift and 22'' tires. He didn't mention any problems with rubbing.

BU is the reason this place was created; it's better to buy from the site sponsors that help support this site. Here's a list of them: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/site-sponsors.php
