e-z-go restoration
Hey everyone. Kind of new to the site. Just got an old 1980-87? 36 volt EZ-GO free from my grandfather. it looks like crap (as seem in my Avatar) but I think it can run. batteries look good. It did run 2 years ago but then it just didnt run. I checked the batteries then, but I think It was the solenoid. I just got it last week and gutted it. I checked all the wires, microswitch, F-N-R, etc. I think its the solenoid. Im currently waiting for the new one to come in. Are there any other things I sould be aware of right now? I just want anyones opinion. I want to get it looking good and maybe use it for hunting. What should I put on it? any comments are welcome. This site is awesome. Ill post Pictures of it soon

Re: e-z-go restoration
I have one and having a hard time finding stuff for it......I am making alot myself.... The motor ran but not good when I first got it......I have found a company that will rebuild it for around for around 200 not counting shipping....I am looking into a new motor but it is limited ....that is if it is a 10 point connector to the rear end .I hope it is a 19 there are more out there.......have you taken your motor if so what is the number where the motor connect to the rear end...........I have raised it and put 4 wheeler tires on it .........looks like something from MAD MAX.....

Re: e-z-go restoration
Hey Dave, my cart is in the shop getting looked at. I think I wired it wrong, so I took it to the country club mechanic. The guy that is working on it says he has an extra motor thats just for our cart model and he's gonna give it to me for free If my current motor is still bad. If its not bad, i'll see if I can get that extra one for you. I'll keep you posted.
