Club Card DS moves an inch

My 97 CC DS has full battery charge and holds charge for weeks. When pedal is pushed it will move about an inch. Speed Controller bad? dont want to buy $800 in batteries if its just a $200 controller. thanks

What does the battery voltage do when you try to drive it? Have you checked it with a multimeter? If the batteries are very weak and the voltage is dropping a lot, it could be shutting the controller down.

Voltage Stays the same. No drop. Horn works and Headlights do not dim. Everything seems right but you just hear the rear end and motor engage and it bumps forward or reverse about an inch and stops.

What drive system is it? What’s the beginning of the serial number?

The Solenoid could have failed or it is stuck.

Hit the Solenoid body with the wood handle of a hammer and try again.

If it works replace the Solenoid.

It could still be a bad solenoid.

Does it have a resistor on it? If so, is it getting hot?

Doe this cart have 2 solenoids?

And what is the pack voltage?

Does it have a big Lever FnR or a rocker switch FnR?
