Diff case gasket?

Just put a "posi" kit in my Kawasaki diff. Now I know you are supposed to use a special sealant to make the gasket between the case halves, something I haven't got. Can regular high temp silicone be used? [The paper gasket is still there in pretty good shape] Thanks. Merrill

Because carts typically don't undergo the same stresses as off road and in road cars and trucks etc., you can likely use some grey gasket silicone and be ok. Just my opinion as a mechanic.

Htownblue is correct. I've used it for years and never had an issue.

We take our rock stock Graziano rear end 100+ mph in 6.5 seconds. Stress or not, gray gasket maker is some pretty amazing stuff.
