06 prededent A1 Motor bolt loose

Hi everyone, I bought an 06 precedent as a non-running 1st project and have fixed various issues so far (new controller, locked brake drum, bad charger) I just got it running today and it was topping out at about 1 mph. I'm not a speed demon, but need a little more than that. I tested the speed sensor by rolling it by hand and it worked. So at that point I started to check the motor connections. A1 and A2 both had rusty bolts and washers so I decided to pull and replace them. When I started with A1 the entire bolt started to turn with the nut... This seems bad, anything a rookie like me can do to fix the situation? I went ahead and tightened it back down as much as it would go and the result was exactly the same, 1 mph.:help:

The motor studs turning is a bad thing, always used 2 wrenches one on the bottom nut and one on the top nut. Disconnect the batteries.
I would soak them with a bit a penetrating oil PB blaster works well, there are many others that work.

Have removed & clean all battery cables & connections,?
Battery pack volts ?
&ndividual battery volts ?

Got a date stamp on the batteries ?

Got the charger working ?
Did a full overnight charge cycle?

Couple pics will help too.

Thanks for the reply,
Are you saying to soak the bolts coming out of the motor to help with the connection? Since my motor is still working, although only at 1 mph can I assume that it is still good? Any ideas where else to look for the reason for the extremely slow performance?

Sorry for all the questions, my first cart experience...

Thanks Dave,
Brand new Trojan Batteries with over 50 volts coming out of the pack. Is there a way to check it into the motor? I can see over 48 coming out of the solenoid.
Batteries are April of 17, charged them one at a time to full charge earlier this week.
What pictures would help?

One other thought, I did replace my battery cables with 1 gauge. My thought was the bigger the better, any chance that is part of my problem?

You still have small cables going to motor. The A cables need to be as large as the others. Did you run the pack negative through the OBC? You also may have twisted the connections in side the motor and have a short in there now.

What, did you pick the batteries up off the production line?
April of 2017 and you posted this on the first day of April 2017.....

I know, I see you are from Cincinnati too, I actually picked them up at Beech Creek Carts the last week in March and he said that he just got them in and they were marked as April production.

Re: 06 prededent A1 Motor bolt loose

Still dealing with issues, I still can only muster between 5 and 7 mph. I checked the battery pack while driving flat out and it did not fluctuate out of the 50 range. I'm thinking speed sensor or MCOR at this point (ignoring the possibility that I will need a new motor), but I only know enough to be dangerous...Is there any way to eliminate one or the other?
