2000 CC 36V Need Help Increasing Speed

Hello!

I have a 2000 36V Club Car Electric Serial #A0035. It is a late 2000 model with F/R rocker switch.

I picked it up at an auction a few months ago, replaced the batteries, wiring, etc. The problem is that it only tops out at around 11mph, and my ego is having a hard time handing this.

What can I do to get some more speed out of it?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!!

I would try to have it programmed to code 4 or code 5, but according to this site I am out of luck.

EDIT

THE CODE 5 PROGRAMMER WORKS ON IQ CARTS! SERIAL NUMBERS STARTING WITH AQ, PQ, CE, FD, HD, And PE.

Yep, the code 5 programmer will not work with this cart, it's only compatible with the IQ system which came out in 2002...

Does this cart have the resistor coil drive system?

I am not sure. Where is it located?

I know this cart does not have the crazy solenoid/resister assembly.

(Thanks for the reply)

Sounds like a Regen II drive system - have a look at this chart.

Which would make it a 48v cart. Notorious, are you sure it's a 36v?

All of the equipment looks like the middle of the chart you posted.

Yikes, the old batteries (trojans) were 36, which led to me purchasing 6-6 volt replacements.

Ugh, if I just dropped $850 on the wrong batteries.........
