Loosing power?

Unless you have a charger that meets US Battery's charging profile, your batteries are chronically being undercharged.

What Make/Model charger are you using?

It's the one that came with the cart a factory one.

That narrows it down to about a half dozen makes and models.
However, odds are very high, nearly 100%, that it is designed to charge Trojan brand batteries, so it undercharges US Battery brand batteries.

The DPI Accusense has a user selectable charge profile for US Battery and is the best bang for the buck.

Here is a Voltage vs SoC chart for US Battery. The voltage readings are taken 12 hours after the charger shuts off automatically

--------
In addition to the batteries being undercharged, check the cables and connections. If any are getting hot, they need to be repaired/replaced.

Also check the throttle input signal to the controller. J4 Pin-3 (black wire) should be 0.7V to 1.3V when solenoid clicks and 2.5V to 3.3V when pedal is on floor.

Oops, you said 1998 sepex drive, that makes it a DCS and I gave the throttle specs for a PDS.

DCS: Pin-1 (white wire) 0.4V to 0.6V pedal up and 1.50V to 1.75V pedal down.

When a cart fails to perform a task it previously did routinely I immedeately suspect batteries. I guess that's because previously, I have pulled motors and input shafts looking for more complicated culprits.....only to find pack voltage which looked great at a stand still was dropping like a bomb under load.

A simple voltmeter attached to the battery main (+) and (-) and laid on the seat will tell the tale coming out of the ditch.

Too true! Cant emphasize that enough some times. Everything "looks great"...
