Need for speed!

What upgrades should I put on my stock 36v 94 DS to hit ~35mph?
New gears?
Bigger tires?
New controller?
Speed code?
I'm a golf cart newbie sorry!

I'm new here as well.. But from what I've read, you're not going to get 35 from a 36v.. You're going to have to upgrade to a 48v plum quick executioner motor with an alltrax controller, hd f/r switch, bigger solenoid and 2 ga cables

Guys am I setting him on the right track?

Oh, and don't forget to upgrade the brakes!

upgrading to a helmet would be helpful too.

and possibly 8:1 gears

You'll need these things at least:

48 volts
HD solenoid
2 GA cables
High amp controller

You will probably have to go to a built motor to get the type of speed you're wanting, but you can always try running the stock 36 volt motor on 48 volt first, that will get you 33% more speed and torque than what you've got now. You'll also probably have to go to 8:1 gears.

I think it was sportcoupe, who did it, but he made a cart go 36 mph on 18 inch tires and it was pretty wicked. If you can find that thread it may give you some ideas.

I don't think you will get to 35 mph without a gear change and 48v or 72v upgrade - motor, controller, cables, solenoid and F/R. I also wouldn't even consider this without upgrading the brakes first. Get ready to drop some coin

Need for speed!

I got my cart to 26 mph going downhill the other day and the steering got squirrelly. So I'm not sure I want to go 30+ mph.
