G9 transmission reassembly help
Hey everyone. I have been chasing down a growling noise coming from the drivetrain of my G9. I thought it could be a bad bearing in my transmission so I recently took it apart to inspect. Everything seems to be ok, no chipped gears or bad bearings, no metal shavings, etc...
I am working on reassembling and I am stuck on how the governor goes back together. I thought about ditching it all together but I’d like to be able to dial down the speed if my kids eventually ask to drive it. This is where I am stuck... When I disassembled I didn’t pay attention to where the governor fork went and how the weights were oriented. I think it goes on one side or the other of this thrust bearing. Option 1 is where I am assuming it goes. The screwdriver is where the governor fork would go. Correct governor weight orientation? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...175d2ee56f.jpg Option 1 governor fork? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0b80050e60.jpg Option 2 governor fork? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bbd82e4480.jpg Part diagram? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9977c2c9fb.jpg Thanks in advance all for the help. Re: G9 transmission reassembly help
Did you figure out what one to use? Going to be reassembling mine soon and will be in your same spot.
