dumb coyote

This one was young and just hesitated a few seconds too long! The towel on the shoulder was soaking wet. Had a bucket of water in the ATV to saturate the towel and wrap around my neck. Helped in the 107 degrees or more weather!

Nice. Is that a Heritage pistol

Re: dumb coyote
It is a Virginian Dragoon that was discontinued several years ago. It is in .45Colt and very accurate. It and my Smith 625-3 are my most accurate handguns. I take both with me on hunting trips. I use the Smith on the left side for a right hand draw and the Virginian on the right. By Usage that should be just the opposite. It works!

We were hunting in and around the canyons along the Salt Fork of the Brazos river.
He came to see what kind of ATV we were driving! They keep the roadrunners thinned out. The hogs are huge and the rattle snakes plentiful. That is why 3 rounds of the .45 Colt are shot and 3 hard ball. |

Re: dumb coyote
I know this is an old thread. Did you skin the pelt? What did you do with it ? We have plenty of yotes in Georgia now, and wondered what to do with the hides. Is there a market for them?

Re: dumb coyote
There is no market here for the skins so I gave him to the hogs!
