Ezgo has reverse but no forward
 

I got a 94 ezgo txt series golf cart. I have just recently replaced the solenoid, new cables, new f/r switch and controller. Batteries are only a few months old and fully charged. I have reverse but only clicks the solenoid when in forward. I have doubled checked my wiring and made sure the contacts looked good on the new f/r switch...I also switched the 2 cables at 3 'o'clock and 9 o'clock and it then goes forward while switched in reverse, but nothing when switched to reverse but clicking. What am I missing!? Thanks!!

In a series cart, when this happens, it is almost always the forward and reverse switch, or the high current cables going to the switch.

My vote is the bracket the FNR is mounted on needs adjustment. The bolt holes are slotted to allow adjustment. I'm guessing it's failing to go all the way to the forward stop.

that's my vote as well....and the easiest thing to check and fix. :thumbup:

Here's a bad pic. When I did mine, I rotated the FNR to exactly Neutral, and slid it back and forth until the handle was exactly straight up.

Sounds like to me you have the cam 180 out. It only goes in one way to work both directions but you can install it on the shaft any way you want.
By your own description sounds like it's out!:help:

Thanks for the input guys, turns out it was actually a loose connection on one of the brush studs in the motor.
