This is probably a stupid question..
The motor on my 88 CC has a broken/corroded post.Im thinking about cleaning it up and weld or braze a new stud on.Any comments? Thanks

Just kidding, Todd. No stupid questions here. I would think that any repair that restores connectivity is a good one. Batteries emit hydrogen, which is flammable. How are you gonna evacuate the battery of hydrogen without ruining it? |

People have repaired them before, but don't remember if anyone welded/brazed a new stud on . . .

If these motors are like I think they are, they are insulated going through the motor housing. You could likely find a replacement stud. If it is that bad it most likely needs to be taken apart and cleaned also. I am no golf cart motor repairman but I have worked with other motors.
