Thought I'd start the 2018 hunting season off with a picture of mine from last week. Got this guy in Hayden, CO. First day. Just got the ground meat back from the processor... 233#'s . I did't weigh the backstrap, tenderloin, round steak but my freezer is FULL. Very happy family!
With this I'll be able to donate all my deer for the season to the hunters for hungry program. Hope all the hunters a great season. |

Shot this guy last Tuesday! I hunted really hard this season, I started opening weekend of bow season and never missed a weekend and hunted as many week day evenings as my wife and kids would let me. It was really nice to take this past weekend off from hunting! I'm not done, I'm just not going to be at it as hard as I have been.

Nice job with the Elk!! Elk meat is the best tasting of any animal that walks the planet!! Plus....you can make Elk hair Caddis flys and add trout to your summer menu!!!
Nice shot on the coyote. I'm always impressed when someone nails a coyote with a bow or cross bow. Coyotes pay a lot of attention and usually get outta Dodge when they feel something isn't right.
