Burning up modules after HEI conversion
I've put 3 modules on after HEI conversion. Battery is putting out 14.7 volts average when running full. I am fairly new at this and need some assistance. Thanks in advance for your help.

1 Attachment(s)
Attachment 175401I have the module attached to the plate that has the voltage regulator. I have the black wire from the voltage regulator grounded to the screw holding the module to the plate. That was the directions that I followed.

Did you remove the paint from under the module? You need good heat transfer.
Aluminum is best for that. You also need dielectric grease under the module. |

Did not remove paint but have a 3 packets of grease under it. Does the paint make that big of a difference?

Re: Burning up modules after HEI conversion
You have already burned through 3 modules. I think it's worth a shot. I would even go as far as sticking a block of aluminum under it.
