G1 Secondary Clutch

Here is the Secodary Clutch on the G1 project.
It looks pretty worn on the spring seat and the ramp shoes are worn.
Having never looked at one before, this is my impression.

Looks a little worn but still has some life. I wouldn't install a torque kit on this cart unless you are going to install 20 inch or larger size tires (which would also require a minum of a 4 inch lift). With stock size tires, the torque spring will take away almost all of the top end. The small tires will not allow enough drag to pull apart the rear clutch system.

OK. you think just replace the Ramp shoes?
Or just run it as is?

I say run as is until it is necessary to pull secondary clutch...kind of a pain if its seized on there!

I am Glad I asked about the Torque Kit first!!!
I sure don't want to mess it up.
I am going to talk to them about a lift kit, to see if it is something they may want to do.
Alot of Royal Ranger Commanders are a little on the heavy side.:lhmo::lhmo:
As you can tell when you see the how the rear body is split between the seats. I'm just Saying!

I'd drive as is. The ramp shoes look like they still have some good use on them. It's a Yamaha: just drive it!

With the research we have done so far on these Carts,
I'd Say YAMAHA is the only way to go8)
