Loss Of Power

My E-z-go 2002 36 Volt Looses Power Not Long After A Full Charge. I Checked The Battery Voltage And They Show 6 Volts. Any Ideas?

Re: Loss Of Power

What is the voltage all the way across the pack....taken at the charge recepticle plug or ? 6 volts is empty for a 6 volt battery hence 36v would be an empty pack ready for a recharge

I Checked The Voltage At The Plug-in It Reads 36.5 Volts. Does This Tell Me The Pack Is Charged Or Needes To Be Charged?

Needs to be charged. 36 volts is considered dead. How old are your batteries? When is the last time you maintained the batteries?

Needs to be charged.. A fully charged 36V pack will read between 40 and 42 volts..

I Maintained Them Regularly. Can You Explain When It Shows 36 Volts Why It Needes To Be Charged.the Batteries Are Trojan H1.

36 volts is 80% of capacity. If you regularly run the batteries below 80% of capacity damage can and will result.

Each cell produces around 2.10 - 2.13 volts per cell......some marketing guy at some point in history decided to call it 2 volts per cell.....the rest is confusion.

How old are they? Your symptoms are a sign of weak batteries.....but dont give up the ghost just yet. There are other things that can cause the same symptoms....all battery/cable/connection related.

What are you charging your batteries with? Have you checked the voltage after a charge? Check 30 minutes after the charger shuts off. And report that voltage to us.
