What is this part called?

Hey All,

I noticed this random part under my cart and I have no idea what it is. I can't find it on any diagrams. It has a 125W max on it, which makes me think its some sort of step-down to 12V.

Voltage reducer. It's a 16v to 12v

Volt reducer. Better to use a 36 or 48 v to 12 if feasible.

Thanks guys. That’s what I thought. It looks like it was probably installed by the previous owners who used to have a car stereo in my cart. It has never worked and I was considering replacing it so I was looking around for a 48V to 12V on my cart when I found this thing. Im gonna replace it with a 48V to 12V since I’d rather spread the load across the whole pack.

Can't you just run the stereo off of one battery?
