bore out on G16
Anyone know if there is a ring and piston set for .10 over? JN-6 301 motor!!:oops:

I don't think you will find .100 O/S. I believe .050 O/S is max. But, I could be wrong.

Sorry guys my typo.......... .010(ten thousanths) OB we measured it at about .007 out of round
looking to take off minimal material if possible |

G16's only have to oversided pistons available, .25 and .50 over. Standard bore 74.96mm-74.98mm, oversized 1-75.25mm and oversized 2-75.50mm. Rons right:wink:

My dimwitted fault......didn't realize until I saw it closer it was mm and not standards....
.25mm is at .0098 thousanths, I'm good to go! Will boring out and installing larger piston & rings change much with carb mix? Is there a posting and /or shop manual recommended for the reassembly of the 301 motor? |
