Clubcar does run the FE350 but! Clubcar engines run opposite direction depending on the year of the cart. That engine would probably work in a older cart. 96 or later.

I might be interested, I'll let you know Monday or Tuesday. Can you upload a picture of the output shaft side opposite the clutch?

Re: Fe350 brand new engine

Thanks. Definitely not a club car motor, or the output shaft would be short and tapered. That's a 1" straight keyed shaft. Not a bad thing. Probably for a log splitter or pressure washer or something. not a big deal, for the most part it's the same engine but as said above, it spons the opposite direction for 97+ club cars.

Monday I'm picking up a 1991 carryall and have no idea the condition, bought it from an auction. Depending on what kind of shape the motor is in (for all I know it may have a huge hole in it) I may be in need of a motor. But I'll know more once I get it home

That’s probably a counter clockwise rotation motor which would be great for a swap in an early cart. The case and mounting points tend to stay the same for most production engines so I’m sure it would fit without much work. The crank snout would likely need to be shortened and use a taper adapter to fit a clutch on it. Might also be able to fit a non-club car clutch without even using an adapter.

My thoughts were to just get a comet from vegas carts... but that's assuming I need an engine at all  that way I could get the pulley so I could retain the OEM starter/generator for charging, leave it key start. Cutting the crank is no fun. I've done it but replacing the clutch is so much easier.

I do like the idea of the engine having the internal governor like my gator instead of using the one in the trans.
