PAR car starter keeps running with foot off gas
 

Hi, Newbie Here, working through several issues with a newly acquired Gas Par Car. I am told it is 1992, I still need to confirm with the VIN number.
It has the Forward/Reverse Keyswitch. Turn the switch on then press the gas pedal and the starter turns, depress the gas pedal a little more and the engine fires. Let off the gas pedal and the engine stops but the starter keeps turning.
It isn't the micro switch, I disconnected that and the starter is still running. It does it with the key switch in either forward or reverse. Ideas please and Thanks in advance

Sounds like a solenoid might be stuck closed?

Replaced the solenoid and it fixed the problem. Here is a link to the part from supply house, way cheaper than I found it at any of the golf cart stores!
