i may be wrong but that controller i think is only 250 amp....correct me if im wrong.

how many batteries ???

what voltage reading do you get on each battery after 10 hours off the charger under no load...
also what is the pack voltage ---the sum of all batteries measured as a whole

also test each cell with a hydrometer (auto store $5 )

check the battery wiring maybe only one battery is wired backwards

Re: speed problem on 2009 villager 7/8

Sounds like a bad speed sensor on an "IQ PLUS" system to me. 8 6 Volt batteries I'm assuming right? Those IQ PLUS cars can be a nightmare without a scan tool. They're far more complex than an IQ golf car. Drive the car, stop, get out, push the car by hand. If car tries to slow itself down and gives you a beep beep beep from the reverse buzzer this means the speed sensor is functioning properly. If you can push the car freely without any increase in resistance the speed sensor is bad. I don't have a parts book handy but I believe it's Part Number 102704901. It's the same speed sensor used on golf cars.
