86 marathon no fuel

Hey yall my daughter and her friends killed my cart again. From what i understand it backfired a few.times and died. My neighbor towed me home with his 95 4 stroke (******) and i got to looking. Plug sparks, piston goes up and down, so starter and spark okay, piston okay. No response to starter fluid. Pulled gas line from pump, intermittent drizzle of fuel. Im thinking pump. I took it off and apart, everything looks normal, but not much to see. Im also thinking vaccum maybe? Rear crankseal looks okay. any ideas? Thanks

Oh i also bypassed fuel filter and still no fire. Seems wierd, not even trying and this thing usually fires right up, likes and wants to run like a beast all the time.

Have to have air, fuel, and spark to fire. Check air breather for obstructions, also vacuum line off fuel pump. Check the plug for spark. Undo plug wire, take out plug, plug wire to plug and set on metal. Roll engine over and you should see lots of spark If working correct. And you should have steady gas flowing out of fuel pump. If not, vacuum line may be plugged, or pump itself is faulting out.

Re: 86 marathon no fuel

So my mechanic neighbor came over with a vaccum tester and we hooked up to the crankcase and it looked okay. We hooked it to the bottom of the fuel pump and could not get gas to pull through it so im gonna start with the pump, hope i dont have to pull engine. One thing we noticed is the flywheel fan is disintegrating, several fins broken off.
