Pot box or v glide?

Which is better and what brand. EC Motors has one, any others? 1998 CC DS 48 Volt

Your 98 CC is set up for an MCOR I believe.... unless its 36v then it would have a v-glide. The MCOR is a better cleaner signal ... not sure I understand your question here.

Do you think that the v glide could be making my 98 cc 48 volt jerk sometimes. It does not do it in reverse at 100%?

Re: Pot box or v glide?

being that the v-glide is a multi step its possible yes ( possible ) you figure every time it slides across the shoes in there and if everything isn,t perfect ...........the one of mine i just did the 97 it didn,t jerk bad at all but you could feel it here and there speeding up and since putting the pot in its just as smooth as silk................also the pot is gonna be way way cheaper than converting to m-core.....................as with the m-core when you put a pot in you get rid of a ton o9f cables in there its just less complicated...........but in the end there is nothing wrong with having a v-glide..................................8)

If the problem is like 'cutting out' only in forward I would change the forward micro switch and if it continues I would try wiggling the F&R handle in Forward while driving to see if you can re-enact the problem.

Installed a new switch and by passed the f-r switch, still does it.Think it could be the v glide even if it checks out good. Thanks

Shadowman, What pot did you use? Mine is 5 to 0 k. Much trouble to change? Mine jerks pretty bad. Cost? Is there any way to bypass the v glide to make sure? Thanks
